LOUISVILLE, KY – Case IH is using the popularity of the National Farm Machinery Show to further display and explain a new line of hay baling equipment, first introduced to the public last September. Included in the Case IH exhibit area is the new RBX-441 round baler. The new Case IH RBX Series round balers come in five models—the RBX441, 451, 461 and 561. The first two digits in each model indicate the size of the bale in feet (i.e. 4x4). A silage version of the RBX451 is also available.
These variable-chamber machines produce bales ranging from 30 to 70 inches in diameter and from 300 to 2,200 pounds. The RBX Series balers offer several features that set Case IH machines apart from other round balers.
“Electric twine wrap is a feature exclusive to the new Case IH round balers,” says Patrick Carter, Case IH product marketing manager for hay and forage. “This gives the operator control of bale wrap from the tractor seat.”
Other popular features and options include:
An optional electronic auto-controlled wrapping system offers a choice of wrapping bales with twine or plastic mesh.
Dual cam pickups are standard on the model RBX 451 and higher for increased reliability when handling heavy or tough crops.
Larger tires for greater flotation are available on several models.
Chevron pattern belts continue to be standard, as on previous Case IH round balers. The belts provide a continuous grip on the bale for positive bale formation. Case IH introduces a new line of round and square balers to meet the needs of livestock producers, horse breeders and commercial hay growers. Carter explains the new baler line includes:
4 small square balers
2 large rectangular balers
4 models of round balers
