AEM Releases July Sales Figures for Ag Equipment

The Association of Equipment Manufacturers reports tractor sales were slightly up and combine sales were slightly down.

In its monthly flash report, the Association of Equipment Manufacturers reports tractor sales were slightly up and combine sales were slightly down.

Year-to-year two-wheel-drive tractor sales were up 3.7%, and four-wheel-drive tractor sales were down 7%. Total farm tractor sales were up 3.4% for July 2010 compared with July 2009 figures.

Year-to-year combine sales were down 29.3%, but year-to-date 2010 compared with year-to-date 2009, combine sales figures are only down 5.9%

Year-to-date all farm tractor sales are up 18.7%.
