AEM Releases March 2013 Flash Report

Tractor sales rose about 11% year-to-date, while combine sales rose nearly 57%.

The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) has released its monthly sales report for the U.S. (for the full report, click here)

Total unit sales are slightly above the five-year average and resemble sales last seen in 2011.

For the month of March 2013, total two-wheel drive tractor sales were up 4.4 % compared with data from 2012. Four-wheel-drive tractor sales were down 6% compared with 2012, while combine sales rose by nearly 76%.

A year-to-date comparison shows total farm tractor sales are up roughly 11% and combine sales are up nearly 57%.
