AEM Releases May 2013 Flash Report

Tractor sales rose nearly 13% year-to-date, while combine sales rose nearly 52%.

The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) has released its monthly sales report for the U.S. (for the full report, click here)

Total unit sales are about 4,000 units above the five-year average.

For the month of May 2013, total two-wheel drive tractor sales were up 22% compared with data from 2012. Four-wheel-drive tractor sales were nearly identical to those in 2012 at 430 units, while combine sales rose by 31%.

A year-to-date comparison shows total farm tractor sales are up nearly 13% and combine sales are up nearly 52%.
