Unverferth expands its tillage lineup with the Raptor strip-tillage tool. Raptor is built with TerrainPro row units for independent depth control.
The Raptor lineup is available in models including:
- pull-type 12-row and 16-row machines with 30” spacings, which are built with 7”x7” toolbar
- 3-point mounted 6-row, 8-row, and 12-row models with 30”, 36”, or 38” spacings, which are built with heavy-duty double wall frame with 6” x 6” rear mounting bar for maximum durability.
Unverferth says the TerrainPro row units provide a six-step design to achieve the optimal seedbed prep:
- Leading swivel coulters with 20” blades
- Free-floating row cleaners featuring a curved finger design
- Center-mounted crowfoot-style wheel to give the row unit independent depth control
- Tillage shanks with 6” to 12” depth
- 18” notched concave closing coulters featuring tool-free downpressue and angle adjustments
- Trailing crowfoot-style conditioning wheels break up clods, condition the strip
Additional options are available include harrows and finishing tools.
The company says pull-type models can be equipped for liquid or dry fertilizer, and the rearward positioning of the tanks provides for visibility of the TerrainPro row units from the tractor cab.
For narrow transport, the pull-type models feature a front-folding toolbar and vertical-folding row units
The Raptor strip-till system uses Raven ISOBUS rate control.
