What could be better than a healthy, green start to your spring wheat crop? How about scouting that crop from the seat of a free Green Machine four-wheeler?
Growers will have an opportunity to win a 2010 Polaris Sportsman® 850 XP ATV, courtesy of ProceedTM fungicide seed treatment, a new innovation from Bayer CropScience. To register in the Show Me the Green contest, growers can simply stop by the Bayer booth (#213-#215, just in front of the east entrance) at the North Dakota Agricultural Association’s Northern Ag Expo. This year’s expo is scheduled for Dec. 1-2 at the Fargodome in Fargo, N.D.
And that’s not all – two growers will go home with a Garmin Nuvi® 205 GPS unit, and everyone who enters Show Me the Green contest will receive a Proceed screwdriver.
“By controlling a number of costly diseases, Proceed keeps your crop green, strong and lush at emergence,” says Marc Andrieux, Bayer CropScience product manager for seed treatments. “We look forward to showing growers how they can have a greener crop next spring for a successful harvest– and perhaps put more green in their pockets now with valuable prizes they can put to work on their farms.”
The Show Me the Green contest will be traveling to select farm tradeshows throughout the winter. The winner of the four-wheeler will be announced on March 1, 2010.
During the NDAA Northern Ag Expo, local Bayer CropScience reps will be available at the booth for more information about Proceed, which offers broad-spectrum control of seedborne scab, smut, bunt and other tough diseases. Applied directly by growers or commercially, Proceed prevents costly losses from diseases that threaten seeds and seedlings from the moment the seed hits the ground.
Proceed is one of the many innovative solutions provided by Bayer CropScience – a company committed to bringing new technology to the forefront of crop production. For questions concerning the availability and use of Proceed, growers should visit their retailer, contact a local Bayer CropScience representative, or visit Bayer CropScience online at www.CerealExperts.com.
