In May, one of the hottest sectors of the used equipment market was square balers.

According to Machinery Pete, search traffic for these listings on machinerypete.com was up nearly 19 percent. This demand has played out offline as well—small square bales saw strong prices at auction.

Machinery Pete saw four of the highest auction prices he’s ever seen on a New Holland BC5070 in the last two months.
