The Biggest Tractor Ever Built

Robert Williams of Big Sandy, Mont., has a number of favorite tractors, but one of them is Big Bud, the biggest tractor ever built.

He showed off the huge 1,000-hp machine at the annual antique machinery show sponsored by the Illinois & Indiana Antique Tractor and Gas Engine Club in Penfield, Ill.—the tractor’s first trip away from its home at Williams Brothers Farms.

Williams also autographed Big Bud books and merchandise for tractor fans who flocked to the site. Big Bud will be on display at one other show this summer: the Half Century of Progress event, Aug. 27-30, 2009, at Rantoul, Ill.
