Straight From The Catalog: 1938 Graham-Bradley

This tractor was featured for the month of December in the 2009 Classic Farm Tractor Calendar.

Had your parents wanted to get you one for Christmas, they would have bypassed Santa and gone to their Sears-Roebuck catalogue–the only place a gorgeous G-B could be ordered! Available only in 1938-39, this rakish tractor was produced by the Graham-Paige people who built a stylish car by that same name. The tractor’s 6-cyl. Graham-Paige engine had bore and stroke of 3.25x4.375 for 217.8 cu. in. At 1,500 rpm it produced 30 hp on belt, 25 on drawbar. It looked fast and was–it could whiz by you in fourth gear going 25 mph.

Yep, it’s the same guy who makes those perfect decals for antique and classic John Deeres. He has a slew of John Deere tractors and equipment, but nobody can resist the rare Graham-Bradley gem, with Jorde’s highly detailed restoration. (Photo was taken at Richard Sear’s birthplace, founder of Sears-Roebuck, Stewartville, Minn.)
