Indoor/Outdoor Welding
Lincoln Electric has two new portable welder/generators. The Bulldog 140 provides up to 140 amps of AC welding output with a 4,000-watt continuous AC generator. The Outback 145 engine-driven welder delivers 145 amps of DC output welding. A high-capacity AC generator provides 4,750 watts peak power and 4,250 watts of continuous power. Both units can weld steel, stainless steel, cast iron and hard-facing projects with up to 1⁄8" stick electrodes. The machines feature Subaru 10-hp overhead cam gasoline engines with one-pull starting; a single, full-range calibrated welding control that dials in the ideal amperage for each project; automatic shutdown for low oil level; and a 6.8-gal. fuel tank for less refueling. The company’s Low-Lift grab bars provide increased leverage for lifting the unit on and off truck beds and extra protection from damage.

Get It Unstuck
Maxfilm, from Royal Purple Inc., is a multipurpose, synthetic lubricant that deeply penetrates, cleans and loosens parts. Once applied, its solvent evaporates and leaves a tenacious lubricating film for improved operation and long-lasting protection against wear, rust and corrosion. Maxfilm is recommended for loosening stuck parts, such as nuts, bolts, hinges; lubricating power tools, chains, rollers and open gears; and preserving and protecting parts in storage. It also acts as a manual cutting fluid for easier hand drilling, tapping and metal cutting of steel and aluminum. The solvent biodegrades to leave only small quantities of naturally occurring minerals.
