Each January the nation’s leading farmers gather at the Top Producer Seminar to better their businesses and meet other business-minded growers. The upcoming conference won’t be any different. Registrations are already pouring in for the 2009 Top Producer Seminar set for Jan. 21 to 23 at the InterContinental Chicago.
Titled Growth for the Future, the conference allows leading business and ag experts help you adapt your farm to this new era of agriculture.
Featured speakers and topics include:
-Top Producer Market Strategy columnist Jerry Gulke on capturing value in the midst of a cooling market;
-Dick Wittman, renowned farm-business consultant, talks about managing cash flow;
-Effie Bernstein of Highline Capital and Ann Duignan of J.P. Morgan
examine the relationship of ag and Wall Street after the financial meltdown;
-Stanford University’s Scott Rozelle evaluates the future of China’s demand explosion; and
-Danny Klinefelter, Texas A&M University economist and founder of TEPAP (The Executive Program for Agricultural Producers), helps get you poised for the future.
New this year to the Top Producer Seminar is the Young Farmer Program. Held on Jan. 20, the focus of the day is on helping young and beginning farmers adapt business principles to their operations.
