“O Tay!”

Sorry, wrong Buckwheat. Ironically, this particular buckwheat happens to be hairless. However, it is just as much of a little rascal. This rascally devil creeps and trails across your field like it owns the place reaching as much as 3 ½ feet long. Buckwheat is a smartweed—member of the smartweed family, that is—and is the most common contaminant in all seed stock. To add insult to injury, a single buckwheat plant can produce 12,000 seeds. That’s not “O Tay!”
