It appears seed quality does not diminish when using a bulk-fill planter. Our partners at the Farm Journal Test Plots are often asked whether seed gets damaged using that system, so they put it to the test. They tried 16-row planters from Case IH, John Deere, Great Plains and Kinze. Farm Journal Machinery Editor Margy Fischer says the results were positive.
