It’s not just trails and hunting, ATV and utility vehicles do real farm work, with more emphasis on engine design, fuel economy and two- and four-wheel-drive flexibility.
For 2013, Polaris adds a full size Ranger XP 900, featuring a new ProStar 900 engine that gives operators easier serviceability and a quieter ride. With an all-new chassis, it offers more suspension, a restyled cockpit, flip-up seat storage, a larger gas tank and new Lock&Ride PRO-FIT cab accessories.
RANGER 800 EFI Midsize combines a reliable 800cc engine with the midsize chassis for Big Bore performance in a smaller, two-seat model that fits in the back of a pickup truck. The RANGER CREW 800 and RANGER CREW 500 are have diesel configurations.
Honda’s 2013 Foreman features all-new, fuel-injected 475cc overhead-valve engine to increase horsepower and torque and improve fuel economy. The TraxLok system lets operators choose between two-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive. Optional is a push-button Electric Shift Program (ESP) or Electric Power Steering (EPS).
Honda’s eight Rancher models for 2013, offer choices between two-wheel drive or selectable 2WD/4WD (TraxLok), and three transmissions (semi-automatic, electric shift, full automatic) for easy and fast up- or downshifting when riding in heavy boots.
Now assembled at Yahama’s U.S. factory, the special edition Tactical Black Grizzly 700 FI and Rhino 700 FI 4x4 offers an Electric Power Steering (EPS), an all-new matte black body and cast aluminum wheels for tactical design and durability. Both feature Ultramatic automatic transmission and On-Command push-button two-wheel drive, four-wheel drive, and four-wheel drive diff-lock system. Most of Yamaha’s utility ATVs come in multiple color options including Realtree AP HD camo.
