Auger Line Debuts

In a first for the company, Art’s Way Manufacturing Company announces a line of portable grain augers. The models include: 8- and 10-inch 34' driveline augers; 10-inch 62' and 72' augers with rolling hoppers; and 12-inch 72', 82' and 92' augers with rolling hoppers. Augers are double-flighted in wear areas in the hopper and drive section. A reversible gearbox permits PTO operation from either side. Customizable Strip-Till System

Entering the strip-till market, Sunflower from AGCO Corporation introduces the 8-row and 12-row 7600 Series strip-till system. The machines feature a 7"x73⁄8" wall toolbar designed with a 10" range of vertical travel, adjustable dual down-pressure springs and shearbolt-protected shank assemblies. Large 24" coulter blades and adjustable dual-function scrapers feature depth bands. Steel-fingered row cleaner assemblies move residue away from the row just ahead of the shank. To match fertilizer products, knife shank options for liquid, dry or anhydrous are available. Base price range: $30,900 to $52,500. Contact: a Sunflower dealer; www.sunflowermfg.com.

Mammoth Seeding Tank System

The 600-bu. Titan III Fertilizer Tank from SeedMaster is the largest seeding tank system in North America. The multiseason tow-behind tank is designed to match with SeedMaster’s 80' and 90' air drills, which can seed a quarter section in approximately three hours. The Titan III features an auger system to move fertilizer from the tank to the drill, where it is metered and blown through hoses to the openers. Because it’s nonpressurized, the Titan III can convert into a grain cart at harvest or a fertilizer spreader. The front and rear steel cargo racks can pack a total of 286 lb. A center-mounted, heavy-duty trailer hitch is standard and can tow more than 1,300 lb. Base price: $9,299.
