A Living Classroom of Modern Agriculture

New life is sprouting in historic Washington, D.C. Alongside the USDA Whitten building, the Agriculture Through the Voice of the Farmer Garden is a living classroom that was launched in 2019 through a cooperative agreement with USDA’s Agriculture Marketing Services. Not only is the garden exposing the 24 million people who visit the area each year to agriculture, it has also been the source of 198 lb. of donated produce to the DC Central Kitchen.
