Remember (how could you forget?) that online farm estate auction June 18th in Beardsley, MN I blogged about Thursday night, the sale with the 1983 John Deere 8820 combine with 15.5 engine hours and the 1990 John Deere 9600 with only 311 engine hours? (here’s the blog: https://discuss.machinerypete.com/t/1983-jd-8820-combine-with-0-sep-hours-to-sell-at-auction/1169).

Yeah, that sale.

Well, couple of slightly interesting tractors for sale on this auction as well. And when I say “slightly”, I don’t really mean slightly...I mean...Wow:

This is the Zych estate online auction by our friends at The Steffes Group. Here’s a link to the sale listing on their web site: https://steffesgroup.com/Auction/AuctionDetails?Name=zych-estate-farm-auction-31911 They will be coming out with a video preview of this sale next week. Stay tuned for that.

Ok, now the question is...What’s this 1988 John Deere 4450 2WD with only 1,462 hours worth? Good question. Obviously difficult to find many good comparables. Note the No. 1 highest selling 4450 2WD in our list needs an * as it did sell with a John Deere 740 loader on the 2/11/16 farm auction in Wilcox, Neb., 1983 model, 1,812 hours, 740 loader, sold $55,000. Here’s a picture of it:

Notice in our Top 10 auction price list on 2WD 4450’s, the recent addition, No. 9 in the list, a 1983 model 4450 2WD with 2,267 hours sold for $46,000 on a 2/22/19 farm auction in Bloomington, Neb. Here’s a picture of that 4450:

Note that each of the 5 highest selling 8850’s had Kinze Cummins repowers. The chart topper on the 3/18/17 farm auction in Williamsburg, IA was really something...owned by Jon Kinzenbaw himself and sold on his farm auction. Had 0 hours on the repower! Went for $71,000...wow. Here’s a picture I took that day at the auction:

Here’s video I filmed of this 8850 selling for $71K:
