Homemade 4WD Tractor

Here’s a homemade 4WD from Facebook follower Paul Adams. Adams is from western Minnesota and sent this note: “Hi Pete. My Dad Alan Adams made this homemade tractor back in the mid 1950’s. He used it on the farm from about 1956 till about 1975. We are restoring it now. I know it was one of the first articulated tractors around. The Steiger brothers came and looked at it from Thief River Falls before they went into manufacturing. It has a 401 V6 GMC gas engine and the front and rear ends are from WD9 tractors. I think he built it before he was 30 years old. Two rear ends, engine and transmission, tires and rims were all bought, otherwise I think everything else was made here. I think it was over 200 HP and he pulled either a 8/16 or 10/14 bottom plows with it. We are fixing it up and donating to Rollag threshers this fall.”

Very cool Paul! Thanks for sharing.
