That’s how many John Deere 4020 tractor auction sale prices I’ve compiled over the past 29 years. So kind of a big deal when a new record high auction sale price is set on 4020’s. Well, that’s exactly what happened Saturday (November 10, 2018) on Mecum Gone Farmin’ collector auction in Davenport, IA (http://www.mecum.com).

The 1970 John Deere 4020 Gas FWD Standard pictured below, restored in 2017, sold for $58,800 after the 5% commission rate was added in.

That wasn’t the only auction sale price record broken Saturday on this Mecum Gone Farmin’ auction. The rare 1977 John Deere 4230 open station low profile power shift diesel, 1 of only 51 built, sold for $50,400 with the 5% commission fee added in. Here’s a picture...wow, what a beauty!
