First ones I’ve seen sold at auction.

I’m talking the new John Deere S700 Series combines. On a large retirement auction today for Gene and Greg Crouch in northeast Arkansas (Harrisuburg, AR) a pair of 2018 model John Deere S770 combines sold.

The S770 in the foreground in the picture had 235 engine hours and sold for $320,000. The S770 in the background had 249 engine hours and sold for $290,000. Both were rear-wheel assist models with 900/65R32 R2 tires, folding bin, Contour and chopper.

In case you’re wondering, that $320K price is not the highest auction sale price I’ve seen on a John Deere combine the past year. Nope, actually saw a pair of 2017 model S680 combines sell (with no heads) for $360,000 (8/15/18 auction west-central Michigan, 2017 model, 29 engine hours) and $355,000 (11/20/18 farm auction northwest Illinois, 2017 model, 147 engine hours).

FYI: Current Avg. Dealer Advertised Price on 2018 John Deere S770 Combine = $345,609. Here’s a link to view (110) 2018 model S770’s for sale today all over, click here to view the list: https://www.machinerypete.com/harvesting/combines/john-deere/s770
