$200 Double Your Money Winner: Portable Nurse Tank for ATV Sprayer
We spray field edges and waterways with our ATV, but we’d waste time running home to fill the 25-gal. sprayer tank. I built the frame of the stand for a 250-gal. water crate from 1"x2" tubing and 3" angle iron. Pallet forks slide into 3"x5" tubing. I used steel sheeting for the chemical jug compartment with a mesh floor from a farrowing crate.

Float Valve Housing
When our cows go to the water tank to drink, they often flip out the float valve when they raise their head. To protect the float valve, I made a housing from a 4' piece of 10" PVC pipe. Cut out one-fourth of the diameter the depth of the tank. At the water level, secure a block of wood to the pipe using four wood screws. Screw the float to the piece of wood. Bolt two pieces of PVC pipe to the housing to secure on the tank.

Hitch Helper
My 15' batwing mower came with a double swivel clevis that made it difficult to hook up by myself. I made a portable hitch stand from a section of pipe welded to a flat piece of iron. A concrete form nail stake with predrilled holes fits into the pipe. A nail slides in to raise or lower the stand.
