Congratulations to Hudye Farms, of Burlington, Colo., for earning a 2010 Top Producer of the Year finalist honor. They were recognized during the Top Producer Seminar in Chicago, Ill.

The official Top Producer of the Year ceremony (as presented by Greg Vincent during the official banquet):

So now we head further west and all the way to Canada for the Hudye family, yes the Hudye family, or as the CEO Ben says, it’s like the blowfish. This is yet another perfect example of how a family business doesn’t need to define itself by size, by geography or industry segment.

The Hudyes are involved in just about everything you can imagine from a business standpoint. They own and farm 16,000 acres in Saskatchewan and they also run a very successful fertilizer and crop protection retail business in their area, along with vast commercial property holdings. Their U.S. footprint is pretty strong, too with more than 16,000 acres owned in Eastern Colorado and Western Kansas.

But for brothers Ben and Greg, the business is about bringing their family together and providing opportunity for them to work together, as a family and fulfill what they see as their Christian mission to give back to the world. As you’ll see in the video, they do that in a big way.
