Hot selling tractor yesterday on farm auction in Ireton, IA up in the northwest part of the state.
2007 John Deere 8530 with 2,823 hours, IVT, ILS, Green Star ready. “One of the cleanest 8530’s you’ll ever find.” said Machinery Pete Twitter follower Nathan Van Gorp. “It started at $100,000 from an online bid and went up $50,000 in a matter of seconds.”
It wound up selling for $172,500. Here’s a picture of it:

The strong sale price at $172,500 simply a continuation of the trend I’ve been seeing since November 2017...strong buyer demand and folks willing to pay premium to acquire the best condition used farm equipment. Of course super condition, low hour tractors in the 10 plus year old age, no matter what color...RED HOT.
