Don Johnson worked many years as a well known Salesman at Ernie Williams LTD John Deere dealership in Algona, IA (http://www.erniewilliamsltd.com), sold lots of John Deere tractors over the years. Don also had quite an impressive line of John Deere tractors of his own (new and old) on his farm near Bode, IA. Don passed away recently and his estate auction was this past Wednesday (July 18, 2017).

The sale Wednesday evening in Bode, IA by Hundertmark Auction Service (http://www.hundertmarkauction.com) showed the very high level of buyer interest there was in Don Johnson’s beautiful John Deere tractors, old and new. Here’s a sale price rundown:

1972 John Deere 3020 diesel, syncro, 58 hours on restoration: $17,500

1972 John Deere 4020 diesel, syncro, 5,808 hours, restored: $18,000

2014 John Deere 8345R, 401 hours, IVT, ILS: $190,000

2009 John Deere 8130, 1,071 hours: $115,000 (tied 3rd highest price in 40 mo.)

1990 John Deere 2955 2WD, 2,029 hours, open station: $20,000

John Deere 730 diesel, repainted: $15,000
