Good used Grinder/Mixers are still red hot.

Not earth shattering news there. I’ve been reporting on this trend for a number of years now. But on a recent dairy farm auction in east-central Indiana (Feb. 28, 2019) a grinder/mixer sold for the highest ever auction sale price. I’m not talking tub grinders, vertical mixer wagons, nope...I’m talking straight grinder/mixers. It was a very nice Artsway 6530 with 18-foot folding unload auger and Digi Star scales. Here’s a picture of it:

It sold for $34,500. The sale was by my friends at Schrader Real Estate and Auction Co. (http://www.schraderauction.com).

That came in a shade higher that one sold for $32,000 just 4 months ago, on a huge auction in Salem, SD on December 18, 2018, a sale by great team at Wieman Land & Auction (http://www.wiemanauction.com). Actually there were two Artsway 6530 grinder/mixers on that auction. The other one sold for $26,000. Here’s a picture of them:

Moving back a bit to older model Artsway grinder/mixers, a new record high auction sale price was set on a model 475 on a February 28, 2019 online auction in northwest Iowa, a sale by the Iowa Auction Group (http://www.iowaauctiongroup.com). The Artsway 475 pictured below sold for $9,400, besting the previous high auction sale price on an Artsway 475 of $7,500.

And that prior high auction sale price of $7,500 on an Artsway 475 was nearly caught on a February 12, 2019 farm auction in southeast Iowa by Sullivan Auctioneers (http://www.sullivanauctioneers.com). Here’s video of of that 475 selling for $7,200:
